ORTV
has many projects taking advantage of TV, radio and film media to
promote the gospel throughout the world. These productions- the
majority of which are produced in our state-of-the-art Arts and
Media Center seen above- are broadcasted all over Taiwan as well
as on Chinese cable stations abroad.
New Life Testimony Series
ORTV's long-running testimony series, New Life gives Chinese
Christians an opportunity to share how Christ has impacted their
lives. Using dramatic re-creations of powerful testimonies, this
series has touched millions of hearts around the world. The program
airs via satellite on Chinese cable across Asia and North America.
700 Club
(Our hosts Helena Chiang and Andrew
Ko interview some Christian celebrities ) In
1999, ORTV and the Christian
Broadcasting Network partnered to create a Chinese version of the
700 Club. The program is shot and produced in ORTV's Arts and Media
Center, and is airing weekly in Taiwan and the US.
Gospel Films and Special Projects
ORTV has produced two full-length gospel films, and several
Christian KTV (karaoke) videos. The TV department often assists
other ministries in adapting their work for the Chinese audience.
Projects include Focus on the Family's Adventures in Odyssey, That
the World May Know, and the Jesus Film Project.
Gospel Radio Programs
ORTV produces more than ten different radio programs in
Mandarin, Taiwanese and English, each catering to different age
groups and interests, but all promoting strong Christian values
and spreading the gospel to the entire island. Our sole English
language program, Sunday Break, hosted by Studio Classroom teacher
Vickie Pettis, has also attracted a large audience of Filipino Christians
working in Taiwan. Many of them have long working hours, little
free time, and are not able to attend church, so they tune into
Sunday Break every week for their source of inspiration and Christian
teaching.
